Teneille will visit you in your home or you can visit her in clinic throughout your pregnancy at a time to suit you! No travel time, no long waits at a clinic or dragging the toddlers out with you! The first visit is a longer 90 minute booking in appointment, to meet each other, take a full history, order and review pathology and ultrasounds, and plan your care needs.  Teneille will give you a copy of the schedule of visits which roughly outlines what will be covered at each appointment, however this is very flexible depending on your needs. 

All antenatal visits are approx. 45-60 minutes in length, except for the 28 week visit which is a 90-minute visit.  However, if you need more time, Teneille can schedule more 90-minute appointments for you. All visits include information sharing, education, opportunities to ask questions and of course checking on you and your baby including listening to your baby’s heartbeat from 14 weeks. You are able to contact Teneille between visits, and there is no cost to you for phone consults (bulk-billed). 

Teneille can provide referrals with your consent at any time if required. If you have Medicare, then the out-of-pocket cost or gap for each appointment is $80 (You pay the full fee then get the Medicare rebate back into your bank account).  If you have reached the Medicare safety net, then your appointments will be cheaper as you will get a higher Medicare rebate.

It is so important to have a strong team surrounding you as you approach the labour and birth of your baby. This way you feel more confident and empowered! Teneille now has visiting/admitting rights at Coffs Harbour Health Campus, meaning she can be your midwife for labour and birth. This enables her to provide full continuity which is amazing!
